How to Install WordPress on XAMPP
How to install WordPress? Maybe this question came to your mind when you searched many roads through internet in the expedition called “How to build my own Website”. Probably, you already heard about WordPress project. In that case you are in the right place.
Here, I want to show you how you can install WordPress on your local machine, step by step with self explanatory illustration. However, if you like film way, see second video in our video series about WordPress: Feel the Platform Itself. The title is How to Install WordPress on XAMPP.
Live website or web presentation of your business needs hosting and domain name. Hosting is a place where your site exists, other name is server. This space usually is rented from varies company’s for money (year based fee). Domain name must be unique, and also should be payed one time per year.
Our solution with local machine is good for the beginning because it is free, but in that case you don’t have a unique name and your site isn’t live (there are no viewers from internet, only you can see it). Later when you master your skills and build your website you can buy your own domain name and hosting place, and migrate your project on web.
